The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the heart of PADI Instructor training. During the course you will apply your diving knowledge and skills while learning to use the PADI System of Diver Education, both in the classroom and in the water. With all our facilities on-site we can complete your training with flexible schedules to suit you and without the added stress of limited pool times and classroom sessions. It’s intensive, but not rushed.
After successful completion of the Instructor Examination (IE) and with our help, Aquasport Instructors have found excellent job opportunities worldwide including the Caribbean, Red Sea, Australia and the Far East. So whether you intend to work in your local dive centre, at a resort or on a live-aboard boat, the adventure of a lifetime is yours for the taking.
Aquasport International is the only dive centre in the Midlands that has a full-time PADI Course Director and a team of IDC Staff Instructors on-site at the centre 7 days a week. This is the only way we can offer you the support of true diving professionals in touch with the modern diving industry and able to pass on their knowledge to you.
We do not use part-time Course Directors!
With all this in the Midlands biggest PADI National Geographic Dive Centre, why look any further.
Option 1
IDC Part 1:
PADI Assistant Instructor Programme This is the first level in the PADI Instructor Development process. You can complete the PADI Assistant Instructor programme in as little as three days or over two weekends. A good place to start for those with limited time or budget or those looking to gain experience before progressing onto the higher levels.
Option 2
IDC Part 2: Open Water Scuba Instructor Programme The second and most comprehensive part to the PADI Instructor Development process. You can complete the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor programme in as little as four days or two weekends. Progress from the Assistant Instructor to complete the IDC and enrol in your Instructor Examination.
Option 3 IDC Part 1 and 2
Fastrack Instructor Development Complete both Part 1 and 2 of the IDC in one go with the Fastrack Instructor Development. In as little as seven intensive days you can complete your Instructor programme with Aquasport. Once you have completed your PADI Instructor Examination you can teach a whole range of PADI recreational diver programmes.
Option 4 IDC Part 1 and 2
Fastrack Instructor Development Gold As with the standard Fastrack you complete both parts of the IDC in as little as seven days. But by combining the IDC with the EFRI, MSDT Preparation and DAN Instructor programmes, you gain valuable certifications in other areas of diving education. An ideal option for people looking to gain hands on experience before looking for work worldwide.
Option 5 IDC Staff Instructor The PADI IDC Staff Instructor programme coincides with the IDC programmes. It builds upon your experience and abilities as a dive educator while concentrating on developing evaluation and counselling skills whilst working alongside our PADI Course Director to assist in the teaching of Instructor level programmes.
