EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE CARE FOR CHILDREN
During the Emergency First Response Care For Children programme you will learn to deal with medical emergencies involving children and infants of all ages. Many of the basic first aid protocols change when dealing with youngsters and by learning to handle situations involving injured or ill children you will be able to make a difference and offer assistance that may improve that child’s chances of a positive recovery. We use training aids specific to children and infants which gives you a true understanding of a child’s needs.

As with the adult Emergency First Response programme, general academic information is covered using your independent study materials. This allows your instructor to focus class time on skill development rather than academic presentation. More practice time means better skill retention which gives you the confidence to respond in the event of a medical emergency.
